If so - then clear and proactive communication skills along with attention to detail are a must in this rewarding Financial Planning Internship opportunity.

During your paid internship, you will receive firsthand experience in comprehensive financial planning by assisting a team of Certified Financial Planner™ advisors who work with a limited number of clients. This in-person internship in our Carmel, IN office.

Some of the projects for which you will provide support include:

• Preparing reports for regular analysis of clients’ investments, risk management, cash flow, taxes, and estate planning.
• Supporting the advisors with all required follow-up items from client meetings.
• Reviewing client financials throughout the year to maximize deductions and credits, reduce tax liabilities, and manage credit.
• Administrative tasks including record entry, database maintenance, and scanning/filing.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, specifically advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Intermediate industry knowledge is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Active interest in the CFP designation is preferred.
